Borussia Dortmund winger Christian Pulisic has said that he is not focusing on rumors linking him with a move away from the club and is looking forward to the club’s pre season tour to the United States.

Christian Pulisic will return to his homeland with Borussia Dortmund for the second time in three months as the Black and Yellows travel to the United States for their pre season tour. And the American international has said that he is very excited to go home and play in his home country with Borussia Dortmund.

Borussia Dortmund will play three matches in the United States as part of the International Champions Cup tournament. The Black and Yellows will face Manchester City in Chicago, before traveling to Charlotte to take on Liverpool. Their tour will end with a match against Benfica in Pulisic’s home state of Pittsburgh.

And Pulisic is especially excited to play in Pittsburgh in front of all his family and friends.

"Pulisic told Ruhr Nachrichten (via ESPN), “I’m excited to play in Pittsburgh, in Pennsylvania. A lot of my family will be there, so I’m excited for them to see my club team since a lot of them don’t get to come [to Dortmund]. I think they are all going to be really good games. First, playing some Premier League competition and then Benfica will also be a good game. I’m excited for all of them.”"

The 19 year old also talked about rumors linking him a move away from Borussia Dortmund. Bayern Munich, Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur have all been linked with Pulisic in recent months. But Pulisic reaffirmed his commitment to Der BVB by saying that he is only focused on the upcoming preseason tour.

"Pulisic said, “I don’t pay much attention to [the rumours]. Right now, I’m very focused on Borussia Dortmund and having a great preseason so that I can earn minutes on the field this season, that’s all I’m focused on right now.”“I want to continue to be as much of a part of the team as I can, I want to be on the field as much as I can, so I have to earn my position. I just want to continue to get better and score more goals and provide more assists.”"

Pulisic impressed by Favre

The wonderkid also talked about new Borussia Dortmund manager Lucien Favre, who was appointed in May following a disastrous season under Peter Bosz and Peter Stoger.

"Pulisic said about his new manager, “He is working a lot on our shape and on how we want to go about starting the season off. “I think we look really good so far and that we can still learn more. It’s a really good start.”"

Pulisic will be hoping to impress Favre on tour and earn his place in the starting lineup for the upcoming season. He got off to a good start as he got an assist in Dortmund’s opening preseason game in Vienna last week. Favre is known for his ability to develop young players, and Pulisic will be hoping to become a better player under the Swiss manager.
