Borussia Dortmund ace Marco Reus wanted by Arsenal, Inter

Borussia Dortmund winger Marco Reus is a January transfer target for both Arsenal and Inter Milan.

Reus revealed earlier this week that he would be looking for one last big pay-day after his contract expires, suggesting that he could leave Borussia Dortmund in 2019. But English outlet Daily Express say that Arsenal will make a move to sign the German international once the January transfer window opens.

With suggestions that their star-man Alexis Sanchez will depart in January, Arsenal are prepared to spend big in the winter. They were interested in signing AS Monaco wide-man Thomas Lemar, but were rebuffed on deadline day. That in turn, blocked Sanchez’ move to Manchester City this summer.

And with Sanchez set to rebuff any contract offers with the club, he is set to depart either in January or next summer. So Arsenal are targeting the Borussia Dortmund star in order to boost their attacking fire-power. While Italian side Inter Milan are also long term admirers of Reus and could move to sign him.

Reus is currently out injured after injuring his cruciate ligament in the DFB-Pokal final in May. He has already started his rehabilitation and could be set for his comeback early next year. Despite his injury problems, Reus is still considered to be one of the best wingers in the world.

Last year, the 28-year old bagged 13 goals and 8 assists despite only featuring in 24 games. There is no denying Reus’ quality and his ability to be a match-winner on any given day.

Marco Reus reportedly has a £35 million price tag, which is relatively very cheap in this inflated market. And Dortmund fans will be worried of Arsenal’s interest in their talisman.
