Borussia Dortmund showed that the future is bright for the club during their 4-0 win over Bayer Leverkusen last weekend.
After all but securing a spot in next season’s UEFA Champions League, there is lots of work to be done ahead of next season. The Borussia Dortmund bosses have their task cut out, with a manager for next season yet to be appointed. Other than that, the club are also set for a massive overhaul, which could see a number of players leave the club.
Dortmund do not need any reinforcements in the attacking midfield department. Led by Marco Reus, Borussia Dortmund have an enviable mix of youth and experience in their roster. The likes of Jadon Sancho, Christian Pulisic and Sergio Gomez have great potential. While Maximilian Philipp has already proved that he is capable of making it at BVB. Mario Gotze and Shinji Kagawa are both solid playmakers and great options in the number ten role. While Andre Schurrle and Andriy Yarmolenko’s possible departures could potentially see new arrivals in the department, this is one area that Dortmund do not need to bolster.
While Dortmund have also been linked with a few goalkeepers, Roman Burki’s recent upturn in form means that the area is not a priority.
