Lukasz Piszczek – 7/10

The Polish international had a solid match today. Out of all Dortmund players, he finished first in the ‘Duels Won’ category with 15. His runs forward were also a constant on Dortmund’s attack, providing important back-up for Jadon Sancho. He also did a great job of keeping Thorgan Hazard quiet for 90 minutes, which proved to be vital in nullifying Gladbach’s attack.

Julian Weigl – 7.5/10

Not a regular for Dortmund this season and even less in the central defender role. His poor positioning and marking allowed Christoph Kramer to score a goal that could have been easily prevented. Other than this error, Weigl had a great game and held his own, hardly giving Gladbach an inch.

Omer Toprak – 7/10

Toprak didn’t have a brilliant match nor did he had a terrible one. He, alongside the entire defense, wasn’t really threatened due to ‘Gladbach’s limited attacking chances. But when they did threaten, Toprak dealt with things quite comfortably.

Achraf Hakimi – 7/10

Not much was seen from Hakimi from the start of the match but the Morocco international progressed as the match went on. As solid as he has been all season, he managed to win 10 duels and completed a total of 73 passes. He also linked up really well with his teammates going forward. His partnership with Raphael Guerreiro on the left wing was once again a joy to watch.
