Bundesliga Preview: The lowdown on Borussia Dortmund, Bayern Munich, RB Leipzig, Bayer Leverkusen and Borussia Mönchengladbach

Bayer Leverkusen
After a disappointing first half of the season, Bayer Leverkusen looked to be a completely different side following the arrival of Peter Bosz in January. And they will be hoping to build on last season’s fourth placed finish by consolidating their place in the top four and closing the gap to the title chasing Bayern, Dortmund and Leipzig.
Bosz’ all action, attacking football is well suited to Leverkusen and their extremely talented roster. And if they can find their form, they could well give the top three a run for their money this season.
Kai Havertz and Julian Brandt both thrived under the Dutchman last season. And while Brandt has now joined Borussia Dortmund, Havertz is ready to build on his 17 goals and four assists from last season. Die Werkself have also brought in Nadiem Amiri and Kerem Demirbay from Hoffenheim to bolster their midfield, while Moussa Diaby is a solid addition to their attack.
Key Players
Despite rumors linking him with a move away from the BayArena, Kai Havertz decided to stay with his boyhood club this summer. The 20 year old is considered to be the next best thing in German football, and with more responsibilities set to fall on his shoulder this season, he will be aiming to prove that he is worth all the hype. With Julian Brandt gone, Kerem Demirbay will add a lot of quality to Leverkusen’s midfield. While Jonathan Tah will lead the defense once again this season.
