Jadon Sancho is fresh off the heels of a poor performance against Bayern that saw him substituted after only 35 minutes. It was a clear signal from Favre that Sancho needs to offer more. Now that’s not to say Sancho hasn’t been good at all this year, we’ve unquestionably seen the flashes of brilliance we have come to expect. But that’s all it has been is flashes, he hasn’t gotten into a true run of good form yet. He’s been poor more often than he has been good. His saving grace is that sometimes he only needs to have one special moment a game and it can turn into a goal or an assist.
The key with Sancho coming back is consistency, he needs to find some consistency that allows him to get in a good run of form. Without that Dortmund’s attack could fizzle out as Sancho is someone they rely on heavily for creativity.
