Lukasz Piszczek (4.5/10)

Piszczek was a doubt going into the game, and he did not have the best of times on the pitch. He was a tad too slow to react to Thomas Meunier’s mistake before the opening goal, and then lost out to Felipe Luiz in the duel for the second. He struggled a lot against Lazio’s quality on the counter attack before being substituted in the 64th minute.

Mats Hummels (5/10)

Hummels was resolute and solid in the first half, putting out fire after fire on his own as Lazio caused a lot of problems to the Borussia Dortmund back three. He won the majority of his headers, made seven clearances and three vital interceptions for his side. His defending before Lazio’s third goal wasn’t the best though, as he failed to close down Immobile quickly enough to prevent him from playing the cross in.

Thomas Delaney (5/10)

Delaney was asked to play at centre-back once again, and performed as well as you’d expect a makeshift defender to do against a quality attack. He had a tough time against Immobile and Correa early on, but looked better after the break.
