Previous Meeting: Borussia Dortmund 4 – 0 Schalke

The last time these two teams met was the first game back from the COVID-19 enforced lockdown, and it was an absolute thrashing handed out by Borussia Dortmund. Lucien Favre’s side scored four goals in a 35 minute stretch and absolutely buried Schalke to earn a resounding win.

Erling Haaland, Thorgan Hazard and a brace from Raphael Guerreiro helped the Black and Yellows get the three points in that one.

With how things have gone for Schalke so far this season it could be worse for them this time out. Although the Royal Blues will have looked at the Lazio game, and may feel that it is the perfect time to play Dortmund.
