Borussia Dortmund welcomed Manuel Akanji and Thorgan Hazard back to the squad on Saturday, which leaves long-term absentees Dan-Axel Zagadou and Marcel Schmelzer, along with Emre Can who is in quarantine after testing positive for COVID-19, as the only players who will definitely miss the game on Wednesday.

Marco Reus and Axel Witsel will likely return to the starting XI after only coming off the bench against Schalke.

Zenit will likely be without star striker Sardar Azmoun, who missed last weekend’s game due to illness. Also missing will be Malcom, who has a knee injury.

Borussia Dortmund: Bürki – Meunier, Hummels, Akanji, Guerreiro – Dahoud, Witsel – Hazard, Reus, Brandt – Haaland

Zenit St. Petersburg: Kerzhakov – Karavaev, Lovren, Rakytskyy, Santos – Barrios, Ozdoev – Kuzyaev, Wendel, Driussi – Dzyuba
