Lucien Favre might be tempted to rest some of his key forward players ahead of Saturday’s game against Bayern. But he will also know that Borussia Dortmund cannot afford defeat against Club Brugge, so we could see Jadon Sancho start. The Englishman is finally starting to find his form, and has one goal and two assists in his last three games.

Marco Reus will likely be one of the players to be rested, so Gio Reyna could come into the team in the Borussia Dortmund captain’s place. The 17 year old had a tough time against Zenit, and will be looking to impress against Club Brugge.

Lucien Favre said that Erling Haaland is a doubt for the game against Club Brugge. If he returns to the starting XI on Wednesday, he will be aiming to build on his exceptional scoring record in the Champions League.

If Haaland is not fit to play from the start, Julian Brandt will take the number nine role, just as he did at the weekend.
