9. Tom Rothe – 17 years 05 months 18 days

Tom Rothe enjoyed a dream Bundesliga debut, as he found the back of the net with a lovely header after being given the opportunity to start in the game against Wolfsburg at the Signal Iduna Park on April 16, 2022. With his goal, the left-back became the youngest ever debutant goalscorer in the Bundesliga and the fourth youngest goalscorer in the league’s history.

Rothe, who joined Borussia Dortmund from St. Pauli in July 2021, was enjoying an excellent season with the U-19s before making his first-team debut against Wolfsburg.

Having registered three goals and 11 assists in 28 appearances for the BVB U-19s, the 17 year old was given his maiden first-team opportunity due to the many injuries in the squad. And he certainly made the most of his chance as he delivered a confident performance on his debut.

Borussia Dortmund fans will be hoping to see Rothe get more first-team opportunities in the coming months and years. And it will be exciting to see what the future holds for the towering left-back.
