Leipzig stunned by Mainz

To make things worse for Schalke, Mainz registered a stunning 3-2 win over Leipzig to move three points clear of the Royal Blues at the bottom of the table. Leipzig took the lead twice, through Tyler Adams and Marcel Halstenberg. But Moussa Niakhaté equalised on both occasions, before Leonadro Barreiro turned home the winner to hand Leipzig a big blow in their title hopes.

Wolfsburg earn narrow win over Bayer Leverkusen

Wolfsburg returned to the top four with a narrow 1-0 win away to Bayer Leverkusen. Despite having just 36% of possession, the Wolves had more shots on target and took the lead in the 35th minute through Ridle Baku. Leverkusen were left frustrated after an impressive win over Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday.

The win helped Wolfsburg go level on points with Leverkusen, leaving us with an exciting battle for the top four spots going into the second half of the season.
