Borussia Dortmund host FC Augsburg this weekend as they look to get back to winning ways in the Bundesliga.
Having suffered back to back defeats to Bayer Leverkusen and Borussia Mönchengladbach, Borussia Dortmund now find themselves in seventh place in the Bundesliga standings. The Black and Yellows are currently three points behind fourth placed Wolfsburg. And anything other than a win at home to Augsburg on Saturday would spell disaster.

Borussia Dortmund made an impressive start to January, but have seen their progress come to a crashing halt after going winless in three games over just one week. They were well beaten by Borussia Mönchengladbach last time out, as their woeful defending from set-pieces was brought back in focus. Edin Terzic now faces a big test as he looks to get his team back in top four contention. Dortmund simply cannot afford to drop points this weekend, but beating Augsburg won’t be easy.

Augsburg ended a run of three straight defeats with an impressive 2-1 win over an in-form Union Berlin side last weekend. They came close to earning a point against league leaders Bayern Munich just days before. And they will certainly offer a tough test to Dortmund, as they look for a repeat of the 2-0 win they managed to earn when the two sides met earlier this season.
