Borussia Dortmund Player Ratings vs Augsburg: Jadon Sancho, Thomas Delaney shine in 3-1 win
Thomas Delaney (9/10)
Edin Terzic decided to change his midfield following a disastrous away display against Mönchengladbach. Thomas Delaney was one of the new faces in the line-up for the game and he happened to be the best player on the pitch. His strong presence in midfield was key for Borussia Dortmund’s defensive and offensive game. Delaney’s headed goal brought Dortmund back to life and his reliability and grit in midfield guided them back to winning ways.
Julian Brandt (5.5/10)
Like the rest of his teammates, Julian Brandt had a slow start to the game, his passes often ended up finding Augsburg players early on and he didn’t seem comfortable. His improvement came in hand with Augsburg happy to sit back in the second half. Linking up well with Raphael Guerreiro and Jadon Sancho, Brandt helped spark the comeback for the Black and Yellows from his favourite number eight role.
