Midfielders: Mahmoud Dahoud, Jude Bellingham, Gio Reyna

Marco Rose goes with the same midfield pairing as last weekend with a lack of options available to him.

Mahmoud Dahoud has done a fairly decent job in the number six role. And his performances have also earned him a call-up to the Germany squad for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers. He will be aiming to continue his impressive run of form.

Jude Bellingham was Borussia Dortmund’s best player last weekend. He will want to make a similar impact against Hoffenheim. The England international will be crucial if BVB are to dominate the midfield battle.

Gio Reyna starts alongside Bellingham in the number eight role. He hasn’t yet been able to adjust to the defensive assignments that come with his new role. But he will be looking to improve on that in the coming weeks.
