Marc Bartra

The Spanish international found himself in the spotlight for reasons no one could have imagined going into this season. After injuries sustained in the team coach attack, Bartra emerged as a fan favorite and player to rally around for Borussia Dortmund.

Moving on from the attack, looking back at his 18 appearances for the club this season, Bartra did quite well. Bartra achieved three assists this season, which is not bad for a center-defender and is more than Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang could manage in 31 appearances.

As Bartra is a defender, it is fair to look at some more defensive stats such as his average 2.8 tackles/game, 3.3 interceptions/game, and 3.0 clearances/game. Not to spoil what is ahead, but that is better than Sokratis in two out of three aspects.
