Known to many Dortmund fans as “Kuba”, Blaszczykowski signed for the black and yellows for £2.75 million in 2007. Kuba appeared for BVB a total of 253 times, scoring 32 goals and assisting 52. Kuba was a mainstay during the Jurgen Klopp era of Dortmund, winning 2 Bundesliga titles, 3 German Super cups and 1 DFB-Pokal Championship.  ESPN FC reported in May of 2016, Tuchel had stated ”We will evaluate the situation and discuss things with the player after this campaign is over,”.

Blaszczykowski was hopeful to return back to the starting XI. The writing was on the wall for Kuba as he was loaned out to Fiorentina that summer. The Polish international was then sold to Wolfsburg afterwards, where he still plays.

But during his peak years, his lightening pace and dribbling skills made him almost unstoppable down the right wing.
