4- Marco Reus: 24 games, 13 goals, 8 assists.

Part of me wanted to put Marco number one on our list due to his effectiveness in the few games he played. Another part of me will always imagine the numbers he would put up if fit for a whole campaign.

It was another trademark season for the German. A stellar campaign contributing 13 goals and eight assists but injuries yet again cut his season short only appearing in 24 games. It is evident at this point Marco is our best player and whenever he steps on the pitch it shows. Forming a lethal pairing with his Gabonese partner in crime Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, the two led Dortmund’s attacking line displaying an outrageous amount of pace and power. One must wonder about the kind of success BVB would achieve with Marco healthy for a full season. Borussia Dortmund only lost two games all season in the Bundesliga when Reus was on the field, a testament to how vital he is to this team.

The vice-captain single-handedly saved Dortmund from a mediocre 4th place finish on the last day of the Bundesliga season vs. Werder Bremen. Unfortunately, he will be out for some time after partially tearing his ACL in the DFB Pokal final vs. Frankfurt on Saturday.
