Who Were Dortmund’s Top 7 Players From 2016-17?

3- Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang: 46 games, 40 goals, 5 assists
Slotting in at #3 is this year’s top goal scorer in the Bundesliga. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang had a season for the ages scoring 40 goals in 46 games this campaign.
The Gabonese hitman started the season off on fire and never looked back. His pace and intelligence around the box made him a nightmare for defenders to deal with all season. A classic poacher, he used his speed to time perfect runs across the penalty area and it consistently paid dividends. Fellow French speaking teammate Ousmane Dembele formed a connection with “Auba” which saw them become the top assist-to-goal partnership in the league.
Rumors of late suggest Aubameyang’s future might not be at Borussia Dortmund though with PSG and both Manchester clubs hoping to lure him away from the Signal Iduna Park. One certainly has become accustomed to Dortmund’s ability to replace their departing superstars but can Aubameyang’s departure indeed be compensated? An interesting summer awaits at Dortmund.
