Team News

Dan-Axel Zagadou looks set to make his return after returning to team training this week. This is  a big boost for Dortmund as Zagadou, Hummels and Akanji had developped into a great back three for Borussia Dortmund since the formation change. Dortmund will be without Thomas Delaney and likely Marcel Schmelzer in this one, Delaney is still a bit away from making his return.

Union Berlin could be missing several players but we will have to wait for their press conference for confirmation of which currently injured players could be available.

It will be interesting to see if Favre finally gives Erling Haaland a start after delivering in back to back substitute performances. Although the opposite argument could be made, with his success as a super sub, why change anything.

Expected Lineups

Borussia Dortmund: Burki – Akanji, Hummels, Zagadou – Hakimi, Brandt, Witsel, Guerreiro – Sancho, Reus, Haaland

Union Berlin: Gikiewicz – Subotic, Schlotterbeck, Friedrich – Trimmel, Gentner, Andrich, Lenz – Ingvartsen – Ujah, Andersson
