Dortmund’s loss down to sloppy and wasteful play

Borussia Dortmund were far from their best against Bremen, playing well below their recent standard. Not only on the defensive side, with individual errors costing them the match but also on the offensive side wasting chances and failing to find the back of the net in key moments.

Some of Borussia Dortmund’s biggest stars had chances to draw Dortmund level or score the second goal. Jadon Sancho, Marco Reus and Erling Haaland all missed great chances. Gio Reyna also had a great chance to tie the game late but was just in a bit too tight on Pavlenka to get it around him.
