Sancho is still only 19

With how exceptional he is, it’s sometimes hard to believe that Jadon Sancho is only 19 years old. His numbers so far this season are absolutely world class. He has 12 goals and 14 assists in 19 games, leading his team in both regards. Still a teenager, Sancho hopefully has a long career ahead of him. With that in mind it’s easy to hope Sancho could stay another year to avoid rushing it.

Dortmund have seen so many players “rush” it only to find themselves back in Dortmund a few years later after their moves didn’t pan out as planned. Now that’s not saying the same will happen to Sancho, that’s impossible at this point, but it’s always something for the player to consider.

On top of that Sancho is in an awesome environment, for both his personal and professional growth. He is nowhere near reached his potential and Dortmund remains the best place to continue his growth. He’s succeeding, he’s still very young and he’s in a great situation built for his own benefit. Moving away too soon on a mega transfer could have an adverse effect due to the added pressure of playing in the Premier League.
