Team News

Borussia Dortmund have been hit with a bit of an injury bug and once again it’s on the defensive positions. Dortmund have been able to keep their midfield and attack pretty healthy but their defence has suffered a lot of injuries throughout the season so far, probably due to a lack of rotation as compared to the forward positions.

Thomas Meunier picked up a muscle injury against Köln and is set to miss the game against Lazio. On the other side, Raphael Guerreiro completed an individual training session on Sunday, and could potentially return to the team having missed the defeat to Köln.

Dan-Axel Zagadou has returned to team training but wasn’t available for selection against Koln. He isn’t ready to start games yet, but hopefully Zagadou will be able to make the bench in the coming games. With the injuries as well as the compact schedule Lucien Favre will rotate the starting XI again to keep everyone fresh and healthy.

Lazio are currently injury free and will have their full squad available to them.

Expected Lineups

Borussia Dortmund: Bürki – Can/Piszczek, Hummels, Akanji – Morey, Delaney, Bellingham, Guerreiro – Hazard, Reyna – Reus

Lazio: Strakosha – Patric, Acerbi, Radu – Marusic, S. Milinkovic-Savic, Leiva, Fares – Luis Alberto – Immobile, Correa
