Erling Haaland does “Haaland things”

Alright, now that I’ve scratched my Kobel itch, lets talk about Erling Haaland. Borussia Dortmund’s striking phenom led the charge for his side yet again, scoring and providing assists almost at will. Are we surprised? No. But it surely never gets old watching Haaland put on a show. This time, the show meant quite a lot more than usual as 25,000 fans populated the stands of the Westfalenstadion to watch Haaland do what he does best. The Norwegian international put two into the net and then turned provider for another three for his teammates.

While Haaland is always ready to compete when he takes the pitch for Borussia Dortmund, he found it particularly easy to be motivated in this game as fans returned to the stadium to cheer him and the team on:

It was easy to be motivated [against Eintracht Frankfurt]…I had goosebumps when I came out. It was amazing to play in front of fans. It’s free motivation, I missed them a lot.

Fans back in the stands is a sight for sore eyes for all of us, but a team like Dortmund, and players like Haaland feed off the energy that the fans often provide during games, especially against tough opposition. It was clear from the team’s overall energy on the pitch that the 12th man, made up of the Dortmund faithful, were doing their job to motivate and uplift their side into putting in the shift that they did.
