Final thoughts

With the game against Wolfsburg well and truly behind them, Borussia Dortmund are going to have to pick up the pieces and have a clear look at themselves going into the final game against Borussia Mönchengladbach.

Depending on the results of the games involving the teams around them in the top four, the game will take on an even more crucial nature as the Black and Yellows might find themselves looking in from the outside.

Going into the long, World Cup induced break with a defeat could be quite a blow to morale and to any hopes of keeping the gap between themselves and Bayern minimal.

Gladbach themselves are not in the best of form, having lost to VFL Bochum 2-1 in their most recent game.

Borussia Dortmund will do well to not take this form as an indication that Gladbach will not fight for a result. It might be the perfect match for Dortmund to bounce back into a positive vein of form if  they work as a unit to make it happen.
