Even though the 2017/18 summer transfer window hasn’t started, Borussia Dortmund has already agreed to sign a few players. Before summer hits, here is a quick recap of players that will be playing at the Westfalenstadion in the coming months.

1. Jacob Bruun Larsen

This first player isn’t necessarily a new face to Dortmund, but a face set to join the senior team this next year. Dortmund has seen Jacob Bruun Larsen grow into a goal-scoring machine over the past year. The youngster has been representing Dortmund’s U19 and is set to make the jump to the senior team in the summer.

The Danish lad has been fantastic, scoring 20 goals and 13 assists during the 16/17 A-Junioren Bundesliga West season. Larsen is a fast winger that can also play as a center attacking mid, which would add depth to the Dortmund attacking midfield.

2.  Mahmoud Dahoud

The Syrian nationalized German midfielder Mahmoud Dahoud will join Dortmund for a pretty affordable price tag of €12 million. Dahoud has shown this season that he is a player of quality with enormous potential.

Dahoud was targeted by Liverpool earlier this season, but Dortmund was able to snatch him up before he could come to terms with the English side.

Dahoud’s specialty is in the middle of the field as a center midfielder. But, Dahoud brings versatility as he can still play both higher and lower in the midfield. Dahoud should make an instant impact on Dortmund and will most likely play side-by-side with Gonzalo Castro or Nuri Şahin.

3. Omer Toprak

Finally, we have Turkish defender Omer Toprak. Toprak has been a force to reckon with ever since his arrival in the Bundesliga in 2008 for SC Freiberg. Since making a move to Bayer Leverkusen in 2011, Toprak has been nothing but consistent over the last few years.

The 27-year-old defender will join Dortmund on a fee worth €10.5 million, another cheap signing for Dortmund. With Dortmund manager Thomas Tuchel intent on playing with three centre-backs, Toprak will most likely play alongside Sokratis and Marc Bartra to cement a wall in front of Roman Bürki.
