Julian Weigl

At just 21 years old, Julian Weigl is by far the most influential midfielder on Dortmund’s roster. He is just one of those players that are simply “really hard” to replace in the lineup.

When Weigl featured in 30 Bundesliga matches, Dortmund looked calm and controlled. In the four games, he did not feature in, Dortmund’s midfield just lacked a presence that he brought. With the young German international going down with a broken ankle, one can only imagine a transfer target will be another midfielder of his quality.
