Gonzalo Castro

Gonzalo Castro. A name that the Yellow Wall got to hear on a frequent basis, unlike Sven Bender. The well-traveled German veteran offered a more attacking style mindset than his regular midfield partner Julian Weigl did. This duo worked out incredibly well, and the two formed a very formidable force in the middle of the park.

In his 28 appearances, Castro maintained a 6.97 match rating, which is above average. Gonzalo Castro also contributed three goals and six assists in the Bundesliga campaign, which is respectable for a player in his role.
