Borussia Dortmund FIFA 18 ratings predictions: Forwards

With FIFA 18, the world-famous football game, set to be released later this month, it’s time to look at the possible ratings for our Dortmund stars.

After a solid season which ended with a DFB Pokal title and a quarterfinal run in the Champions League, Dortmund will be expected to receive a couple of upgrades on the famous Ultimate Team game mode. So here is a look at the rating predictions for Borussia Dortmund’s forwards.

The Ukrainian winger joined Borussia Dortmund from Dynamo Kiev this summer. The right winger did not have a card in FIFA 2017 since the Ukrainian league was not included in the game. But Yarmolenko should have a decent card this time around. The 27-year old is pacy, direct, solid dribbler and has a cannon of a left foot. Yarmolenko has all the characteristics to terrorize defences in the game.

The cover star for FIFA 17 had a tough year blighted by injuries. However he did manage 13 goals and 8 assists in 24 matches before getting injured again towards the end of the season. The 28-year old had a rating of 88 in the previous version of the game. But as a consequence of his injuries, Reus is set to see his rating drop a bit in FIFA 18. There is still no denying that on his day, Reus is one of the best wingers in the world and his rating is expected to show exactly that.

The explosive striker was one of the fastest players in FIFA 17 and had a rating of 86, which was upgraded during the winter. Now after yet another superb season, Aubameyang is set to receive another raise in his rating. The Gabonese man scored 40 goals last season for Dortmund. He was also named in the Bundesliga team of the Year. He is set to receive upgrades on his shooting and dribbling. And with lightning fast pace to complement that, Aubameyang will be one of the hottest picks in FIFA 18.

If there is a player who deserves a massive upgrade in his FIFA rating, it is Christian Pulisic. The American winger started last season with a FIFA rating of 69. However after taking the world by storm in his first season in the Bundesliga, Pulisic ended up being named in the Team of the Season. He is set to receive a big upgrade in his rating for FIFA 18. His pace, trickery, dribbling and skill moves will make him an asset for an player that chooses to use him.

The former Freiburg had a rating of 74 last season before being upgraded to 76. After scoring 9 goals and assisting 5 in 25 games last season, Philipp earned a move to Dortmund this summer. And he is set to have an improved rating yet again. He is a pacy forward with good dribbling skills. Philip can play down the left as well as behind the striker in the Number 10 role. He could be a good option for players with less coins.

The towering Swede played a bit part role for Dortmund last season. However he could get more opportunities this season as he continues to grow. Isak is a great talent with immense potential to become a future star. Still only 17, Isak is set to have a similar rating to last season. He was rated 67 in FIFA 17. Expect to see one or two upgrades to his attacking attributes in this season’s version of the game.

The German international is another player who had his season disrupted by injuries last season. He joined Dortmund from Wolfsburg last summer and scored 5 goals and assisted 4 in 25 matches. His rating for last season was 81. And after poor performances and injuries, he is set to see it decreased in FIFA 18. Most of Schurrle’s attributes are very likely to stay the same. But he is no longer a first choice player for Dortmund and a small downgrade should be expected.
