The Belgian midfielder has been with Anderlecht since he was 14 and has become one of the brightest midfield prospects in Europe. Still only 22, Dendoncker has already been linked with a host of big clubs. Manchester United are one of the clubs he has been linked with.

And Dendoncker has already shown his ability to the Old Trafford club. It was against Manchester United in the Europa League last season that Dendoncker came on to the big scene. The Belgian bossed United’s star studded midfield and protected his back four against their illustrious forwards.

Dendoncker usually plays as a holding midfielder but is also known for his ability to make forward attacking runs. He is not only physically imposing, but also technically gifted. And a midfield of Weigl and Dendoncker could dominate opposition teams for years to come.

Borussia Dortmund have an array of options in midfield. But having Dendocker will give them the extra edge as they aim to wrestle back the league title from Bayern Munich.
