4. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

Many thought the Gabonese striker would leave Dortmund  this summer with many transfer rumors linking him to AC Milan, Manchester City, and even Shanghai SIPG FC. While there is no doubt any move would involve a hefty transfer fee, Aubameyang is a crucial first team player for Dortmund. He ended the 2016-17 season as top goal scorer in the Bundesliga.

Scoring 31 goals, the 28 year-old had the highest goal count in a season since Dieter Muller scored 34 goals for FC Koln in the 1976-77 season. If Dortmund are to win the Bundesliga this year, it is vital that Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang stays at Dortmund in January and remains healthy.

They will also be counting on him to become the leader in the dressing room this season. The forward is now one of the experienced players in the squad. And if he continues to stay in form, he could lead his team to the league title this season.
