2. Dortmund have greater squad depth

One thing Dortmund has always been good at is picking up young, but very talented players. Christian Pulisic is set to have a breakout season as he is likely to be starting most games. This is due to the sale of French international Ousmane Dembele who was sold to Barcelona for an astonishing €150 million price tag.

Many aren’t worried about squad depth as there are a variety of options for Bosz this season.

Key Defenders: Sokratis, Bartra, Piszczek, Schmelzer, Durm, Guerreiro, Zagadou, and new signings Omer Toprak and Jeremy Toljan.

Key Midfielders: Gotze, Pulisic, Sahin, Dahoud, Weigl, Kagawa, Schurrle, Castro, and new signing Jadon Sancho.

Key Forwards: Pierre-Emerick Abaumeyang, Marco Reus, Phillipp, Isak, and new signing Andriy Yarmolenko.
