5. Missing Players

Much like Dortmund, Spurs will be without a few key players due to injury and suspension. Victor Wanyama is out with a knee injury and will be unavailable until later in September. Erik Lamela has a hip injury from last year that could have him sitting on the sidelines until next month.

Delle Alli, a crucial first team player for Tottenham received a three game match ban from UEFA last year. The English midfielder received a straight red card for a dangerous foul in their (2-2) draw against Gent.

Dortmund have more injuries but have already adjusted accordingly with young players stepping up to fill the gaps. Their injuries will see them take on Spurs without the likes of Marco Reus, Raphaël Guerreiro, André Schürrle, Erik Durm, Sebastian Rode, Marcel Schmelzer, and Marc Bartra.
