2. Borussia Dortmund can actually win the title this season

After the sacking of Thomas Tuchel and the arrival of Peter Bosz as his replacement, Dortmund were not expected to challenge for the title this season. But seven games into the season, the Dutchman has taken the Bundesliga by storm. His side have won six of their first seven games, drawing the other one. Der BVB have scored 21 goals and conceded just 2.

In comparison, their rivals have not fared so well. Bayern Munich and TSG Hoffenheim have both lost one and drawn two of their games. While RB Leipzig have already endured two losses and one draw. Dortmund already hold a five point lead over their nearest rivals going into October, a very healthy lead at this stage of the season.

In attack, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has already scored 8 goals, including a hat-trick against Borussia Monchengladbach. And Dortmund’s defense has been rock solid, led by the Greek wall that is Sokratis. Dortmund have only conceded twice this season, keeping five clean sheets.

So, with Dortmund on fire and their rivals faltering, this could be the year which sees Dortmund finally lift the Bundesliga title once again.
