Aubameyang is a one of a kind striker

Aubameyang has a history of being eccentric yet original (see the pictures comparing him to a penguin as reference) when it comes to football on and off the pitch. One could say a tweet from last year was the catalyst for Aubameyang’s goal scoring effectiveness.

While it may seem overly simple, it actually makes for stronger competition. By having a friendly challenge with Lewandowski, Aubameyang was able to prove himself to the world. Up until the last match day, the two were consistently trying to outscore each other. The competition between the two landed him third overall in the Golden Boot.

Imagine if he were to challenge Messi or Falcao in similar fashion. The results could be record-breaking should the personal competition occur.

Aubameyang was consistently floating around on the top of the table for the prize during last season. Having referred to Der BVB as family recently, one can believe he would want to make them proud. What other way to do so then by giving Borussia Dortmund an accolade they have yet to have their name attached too.
