Aubameyang is due a big performance

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is one of the best strikers on the planet and his records back the claim. Despite his world-class talents, the Gabon international is yet to impose himself on games this season. Even with his impressive rate of 10 goals from 10 games in the Bundesliga, the actual picture is quite different.

Famous for his hassling of the defence, Aubameyang has been fairly quiet for most of the minutes he’s on the pitch. The fast-paced runs and clinical finishing that made him so lethal have been missing since the start of the campaign and the lack of supply has been a major factor. With the departure of Ousmane Dembele to Barcelona, Dortmund is in dire need of some creativity in the final third. The connection between Aubameyang and Dembele was crucial to the free-scoring form of BVB last season and that is exactly what Peter Bosz needs to find a solution for.

A big-game performance is long over-due from the striker. Hopefully, Aubameyang will choose this weekend to break free and get back to his lethal best.
