However, after sacking Carlo Ancelotti and appointing Jupp Heynckes, the Bavarians have turned the tide and now hold a three point cushion at the top of the Bundesliga table. Borussia Dortmund have imploded in recent weeks, and after just two wins in seven, they desperately need a win to draw down a marker in the title race.

Just like every other game between the two clubs, this weekend’s match is set to be an exhilarating affair. The defending Bundesliga champions will be looking to extend their advantage over Dortmund to six points. Whereas, Der BVB will be hoping to claw their way back into the title race.

So, who will come out on top as the two sides resume their rivalry on Saturday? Let’s take a look at three key individual battles which could decide the match.
