Robert Lewandowski vs Sokratis

Robert Lewandowski is in the form of his life. The Poland international has been scoring goals for fun this season and he will be hoping to haunt his former club yet again. Lewandowski has scored eight goals in 12 appearances against Borussia Dortmund since leaving the club to join Bayern Munich.

And it is essential for Der BVB to stop him from continuing his red-hot form if they are to get anything out of the game. The man tasked with the responsibility of stopping him is set to be Sokratis Papastathopoulos. While the Greek warrior has failed to recapture his form from last season, he is still one of the best defenders in the league.

His aggression and the ability to sniff out danger will make him a hand-full for Lewandowski. The Bayern striker may not be a 100% fit either, after he missed his side’s mid-week game against Celtic with a thigh problem. Sokratis will be hoping to take advantage of that as he looks to keep the former Dortmund man quiet.

It is set to be an intriguing battle between the duo. And whoever comes out on top could help his side to a massive result.
