Borussia Dortmund have enjoyed an eventful season so far. After the highs of September, came the lows of October. Now though, they lie six points off the top in the Bundesliga and are all but out of their Champions League group.

Here we take a look at the Borussia Dortmund players’ power rankings as of match day 11. These rankings are based on the players’ displays in the club’s matches over all competitions so far this season.

23. Andre Schurrle

He has appeared in two matches. Has barely been featured, but this is due to injury. He returned with Raphael Guerreiro, yet Guerreiro has received a little bit more playing time. Coming back against Hannover 96, Schurrle is still trying to get back to full form. With Christian Pulisic, Maximilian Philip and Andriy Yarmolenko all ahead of him in the pecking order, chances to impress will be hard to come by for Schurrle.

22. Neven Subotic

Subotic played a full match against Eintracht Frankfurt this season. That is all that has happened and that match was a draw in the end. Even with Dortmund’s defense in dire need of help, Subotic is not being played.  While he performed well in his only match of the season, it is highly likely that the veteran’s Dortmund career is reaching its end.

21. Jadon Sancho

Sancho has only made two substitute appearances for Borussia Dortmund’s senior team so far. While playing for Dortmund’s youth, he has caught the eye. The 17-year old almost helped his side get a win against Frankfurt, when he was subbed on late, and nearly grabbed an assist against Bayern. He is showing great promise for BVB and can be a star player for the club in the future.

20. Alexander Isak

Isak has made a total of four senior appearances for the season. He showed his potential in the DFB-Pokal game against Magdeburg by scoring a goal and getting an assist. Isak could turn into a great striker for BVB, but it doesn’t appear he is being trusted with that duty any time soon.

19. Raphael Guerreiro

Guerreiro and Schurrle both returned in the DFB-Pokal and against Hannover 96. Guerreiro has been surely missed and is being rewarded with gradual playing time. Since his return, he has scored a goal and is looking to quickly be integrated back into the first team rotation as the season goes on. Perhaps, if he had played another game or two, he would have been placed higher up in this list.
