A win can turn Borussia Dortmund’s season around

Dortmund have been out of form in the Bundesliga and are currently in free-fall. So a win against their biggest rival could be a massive boost to the team. The result could see them jump back up to second place in the league. Der BVB are currently 9 points behind league leaders Bayern Munich and they must win on Saturday if they are to stay in the title race.

In order to gain a Champions League spot for next year, Borussia Dortmund need to start winning matches. They have not won a Bundesliga game since the end of September, when they were five points clear at the top.

While Dortmund’s recent form has prevented them from gaining more that 1 point in their last 5 games, Dortmund players know that this game will be crucial to turning the season around. But like Hans-Joachim Watzke said earlier this week, they must play with “courage, determination and fighting spirit.”
