Borussia Dortmund player Power Rankings for December
By Oliver Campo
1. Mario Gotze (previously 2)
Mario Gotze has returned to form. He scored a powerful header against Schalke and has made himself a key figure in the starting XI for BVB. He will be out until early January, but his performances have been essential to the team. If Gotze is not running to assist the defense, he is punishing the opposition while on the offensive.
After being out from BVB for so long due to injury, it hurts to not see him play in the near future. One thing that has been proven is that he has earned the allocation of being one of the best midfielders in the world. He is seen as frustrated due to the losses Dortmund have sustained, especially when he is putting in top quality performances on the pitch.
Borussia Dortmund will be hoping that Gotze can return from injury soon, so he can boss games for the team once again.
