How did you become a Borussia Dortmund fan?

After the 2014 WC, I really wanted to get into international soccer and started doing research about German clubs. I was on Twitter and found that the BVB fans were the friendliest and everyone was so welcoming to me.

It was the horrible 2014 season when I started being a fan, so I felt especially attached to the club because even though they were at the bottom of the table, the fans followed them and supported them and never turned their backs, which I thought said everything about the type of club they are. It wasn’t about trophies or money, it was about the club as a whole.

What’s been your favorite memory as a Borussia Dortmund fan so far?

Attending the VfB Stuttgart match in Dortmund in 2015. Best day of my life. We had some amazing goals and it was so incredible to experience a BVB match in Dortmund.

Who is your favorite player at the club?

Roman Burki, partially because I’ve met him and he was super kind and friendly, plus I’ve always had a soft spot for goalkeepers. Of course, being an American, Christian Pulisic makes me so proud and I love watching him play. His passion and commitment to always giving everything he has is really inspiring.

Which player(s) would you like to see at Borussia Dortmund?

I was hoping we could get Alvaro Morata back when he was up for grabs, so my hopes are still there for that transfer. Honestly, I try not to worry about the transfers, I just hope for the best.

Where do you think Borussia Dortmund will finish this season in the Bundesliga and in Europe?

My heart wants to say top three, but with the holes in our defense and the club-wide issues still clear, I wouldn’t be surprised with 4-8. My top guess would be 4th.

As for Europe, I want us to go far, so I think we have a chance at making the finals.
