I was thinking of competent center-backs in the Bundesliga that are worthy of playing for Borussia Dortmund, while not being too expensive, and I came up short.

That’s when I started to look elsewhere. My attention was drawn to Spain, where a certain Spanish defender who usually sits in the reserves of a certain Spanish rival team. Nacho Fernández.

He rarely starts for Real Madrid, and when he does, he is absolutely solid. Capable of playing center-back and right-back, Nacho also possesses distributing qualities with the ball that make him good all around. Since he is rarely utilized by Real Madrid, they might be willing to let him go for a smaller price.

Right now, Real Madrid is struggling with having a small squad, but I believe they are fully capable of replacing him.
