Shinji Kagawa was a solid performer in the first half of the season. He was one of Dortmund’s best attacking outlets and provided a spark in the final third. He controlled the games against Mainz and Hoffenheim, and this was because Peter Stoger used Kagawa in a more central role in comparison to Peter Bosz. Kagawa’s performance in these two games just before the break instil optimism for the second half of the season. The recency of Kagawa’s great performances sway his rating, but Kagawa has been steady all season. The hope is the rest of the team joins Kagawa in performing up to par on a consistent basis.
