Manuel Akanji (CB)

Akanji is new to the squad and Omer Toprak is the more likely choice under Peter Stoger. However, Akanji is the future and should be included regardless. Toprak may have more experience, but his performances haven’t warranted him an assured spot in the starting eleven.

Akanji could form a solid partnership with Sokratis and he should be provided with the minutes to do so.
