10) Marco Reus

Marco Reus has already made two starts since his return from injury, lasting 70 and 60 minutes in those games. He has done well in both games, showing how capable he is of making a difference. While he has yet to score, it has been an encouraging return for the German international after missing eight months through injury.

9) Christian Pulisic

Pulisic’s form has been sub-par recently. It is not fair to give him a pass on his form though. Coaching staff changes affected each player differently, but no one can disagree that Tuchel used Pulisic to his best ability. Stöger hasn’t gotten the United States international back to top form, yet. But keep in mind he is still only 19. He just needs to work on his decision making and he will be fine.

Pulisic is perceived as one of the best players and is reported to be worth €100m. There is a lot of pressure on him to always give top performances.

8) Jadon Sancho

Jadon Sancho has been a sensation overnight for Borussia Dortmund. He won rookie of the month in January in the Bundesliga and provided a great ball to Shinji Kagawa for his first assist. Sadly, Sancho went down with an injury and there are no immediate return plans. He will be a player to continuing watching when he is back on the field.

7) Lukasz Piszczek

An injury derailed Lukasz Piszczek badly last year. Piszczek got injured on international duty and the defense couldn’t handle him not being around. He has lost speed over the years, but Piszczek is still the top right back at the club. Piszczek also plays the role of provider and is essential to the team. His assist for Andre Schurrle’s opening goal last night was simply world class.

He is also Borussia Dortmund lucky charm, having not tasted defeat in his last 27 league games.

6) Sokratis

Sokratis is another player who has improved under Peter Stoger and is enjoying his football now. But it has still been a mixed bag for the Greek international. He can struggle at times, but is an important part of Dortmud’s back line.

Sokratis also gets his fair share of highlights. The number of standout performances he has put on this season far outweighs the negative ones. Defenders who are looking for players to observe, they should look at Sokratis. He has several clean slide tackles and makes use of plenty of different tactics while on the pitch. His late goal saving headed clearance against Koln helped Dortmund earn a valuable win.
