Borussia Dortmund Player Power Rankings February 2018
By Oliver Campo
2) Shinji Kagawa
Shinji Kagawa will always be one of the best players in the modern era of BVB. Kagawa is known for his great work rate and an eye for goal or key passes. Without Kagawa in the midfield, it is difficult to say if any other player currently at the club is able to replace him or not. Unfortunately, he suffered an injury at the weekend and it is not looking good.
Kagawa has a lot to lose to injury and fans will be hoping to see him back soon. Also, without Kagawa, a majority of the recent turn around in form under Stöger may not have taken place. He and Gotze are the commanders of the midfield and lead the charge when shifting to more offensive based positions. I stated he is undervalued, but it doesn’t appear to be the case anymore.
No current Dortmund player has been directly involved in more goals than Kagawa this season (13, with 6 goals and 7 assists)
