Thomas Delaney

The Danish international is a good fit for Borussia Dortmund’s new possession-based, high-pressing style. His ability to hassle opposition midfielders and win the ball back will be key to whatever system is employed. His pricetag could force the coach to use him more regularly but there’s a good chance that he loses his spot someone else over the course of the season.

Mahmoud Dahoud

This season should see Dahoud take things a step further after having settled at the club. Not only should we see him do better than last season, we should also see him feature more often.

Sebastian Rode

Rode has been sidelined for a long time and despite finally becoming fit, he’s better off finding minutes for a club that is less demanding. Doubt he’ll play a big part this season espeially with the depth that BVB has in midfield.
