Borussia Dortmund cruised to a comfortable 3-0 win over AS Monaco to make it two wins out of two in the Champions League group stage.

Second half goals from Jacob Bruun Larsen, Paco Alcacer and Marco Reus gave Borussia Dortmund the victory against a struggling Monaco side. Lucien Favre’s men dominated possession and played some excellent football, especially in the second half, to secure the three points. The win sees Borussia Dortmund stay perfect in the Champions League group stage ahead of their meeting with Atletico Madrid.

Here are the player ratings for the Borussia Dortmund players from the game.

Roman Burki (8/10)

Burki had another excellent game as he made some excellent saves in both halves to prevent Monaco from scoring. Another well deserved clean sheet for the Swiss international.

Lukasz Piszczek (6/10)

Piszczek made his return to the side after missing the last two games and his lack of pace allowed Monaco to create numerous chances from their left wing. He did cause Monaco a few problems going forward, but often needed Marius Wolf and Thomas Delaney to help him out defensively. Achraf Hakimi seems to be a much better all round option at right back for Dortmund at the moment.

Manuel Akanji (8/10)

Akanji is quickly becoming Borussia Dortmund’s leader in defense. He showed his ability once again today as he kept Radamel Falcao quiet all game. Akanji dealt with everything that came his way and showed great composure on the ball. It was yet another dominant performance by the Switzerland international.

Dan Axel Zagadou (7/10)

Zagadou has impressed since being given the chance in the first team, and he showed his potential once again with a very solid performance. He added calmness and robustness to the defense and did not make any rash decisions.

Abdou Diallo (6/10)

Diallo filled in at left back for the injured Marcel Schmelzer once again and he looked comfortable and aware at all times. The Frenchman did not make too many forward runs, but put in a reliable shift in defense.

Axel Witsel (8/10)

Witsel bossed the midfield once again for Borussia Dortmund. He won all his duels in the middle of the park and completed 94% of his passes. The Belgian international was the midfield enforcer for his side and made several intelligent plays for his teammates.

Thomas Delaney (5/10)

Another very defensive minded performance by Thomas Delaney, who often slowed the play down for Borussia Dortmund in the first half. He added physicality and stability to midfield, which prevented Monaco from finding a way through, but also prevented Dortmund from playing their natural game.
