Substitutes

Mahmoud Dahoud (8/10)

Came on at half time and made Borussia Dortmund look like a completely different team with his presence in midfield. He provided great energy and momentum to the team and always looked to find the forward pass. Dahoud linked up well with his teammates and showed great composure on the ball. His introduction was one of the key reasons behind Dortmund’s turnaround in the second half.

Paco Alcacer (7/10)

Alcacer came on at the hour mark and had the chance to level things up for his side just minutes later, but he failed to beat Neuer from three yards out. Alcacer more than made up for it though, by scoring the winner in the 73rd minute after beating the offside trap and getting on the end Axel Witsel’s through ball. His finish was one of great quality and composure and showed and earned his side three priceless points.
